Haha, I have ANOTHER new journal. Ah well. The other one was more springy, anyway...

...So lately, I've been REALLY into baseball. I've always really liked the game, but I finally decided to get serious about it, and read up on it's history. After doing some studying, I am totally a part of Yankee nation. >D

Also, I've wanted to start a comic. I've been drawing baseball hunks lately, and I realized that what I want to draw/write about is baseball. (now this wasn't just an overnight decision, I've been thinking about it for a while now)

This is the rough back story for my new comic, set in the 1920s, "The Rambos":

"Eddie Bucks' goal is to manage the dysfunctional, local baseball team, "The Rambos", made up of nine men of all different shapes and sizes. It was his father's dream, Charlie Bucks, to manage the greatest baseball team of American history. Before Charlie passed away, he wanted to name a(or his) baseball team "The Rambos", in honor of his wife, Rhonda Rambino. When Rhona and Charlie married, Rhonda kept her maiden name, and throughout their marriage, Charlie often wondered if she even loved him. He was desperate for her love, and figured that naming a team after her would surely prove his commitment. Unfortunately, she never appreciated his dreams, and thought of baseball as a waste of time. Eventually, he discovered that Rhonda was cheating on him with his best friend, Samuel Gumm. They got divorced, and Charlie was finally ready to fulfill his dream of founding a baseball team. But by the time they got divorced, it was too late for Charlie--he was far too weak to manage an entire team by himself.

On Charlie's death bed, Eddie made a promise to his father--that he would devote his life to managing the team that Charlie never could.

Through all of the 1920s hot summer days, barbecues, and troubles with women, "The Rambos" is a story about failure, hope, and a little game known as America's pastime. "
